Sad Bastard Hero (aka Man Out of Place) is a short action film specifically made for the 48 Hour Guerrilla Short Film Festival. Upon entering contestants are given a genre and a dialogue line that must be used in the short. They then have 48 hours to write, produce, shoot, and edit a short film. The script was written by Ashlee Elfman from an idea by Michael Cuenca.

A rookie cop is the sole person with free will in a world where peace has eradicated all violence.
